Role Templates are custom, reusable groupings of administrative account roles. Role Templates are necessary for Single Sign-on (SSO) authentication into ElevenOS, as the SSO authentication process uses a Role Template Id to assign users their expected roles and permissions when they log in.
Use default templates, copy and adjust existing templates, or create new templates based on your needs.

The Role Template Id
The Role Template Id is critically necessary for SSO integrations because the id is used during authentication to add the correct roles to a user. If you use a default Role Template, you can find its id in the table above. If you create any new templates, you can find them in the middle column of the Role Templates menu in ElevenOS.
